About us

By Seth Durr, Snohomish, WA

By the time I was 27, I had been in more than a dozen car accidents.

Doctors told me I had the body of an 80-year-old. I couldn't walk around the block. I couldn't keep up with my two toddlers, couldn't get down on the floor with them, couldn't chase them around the yard, couldn't do the things that feel so ordinary until suddenly they aren't. I was in my twenties, and my world had gotten very small.

What I remember most from that time isn't the pain. It's the isolation. The feeling of watching life happen around you while you sit on the sidelines, not by choice, but by limitation.

Nobody tells you how much your ability to move is tied to your ability to feel joy. To feel like yourself. To feel like you belong in the room.

I got through it. But I never forgot what it felt like.

That's why I built Wheelchair Throne.

It came from something real. From knowing firsthand what it means when someone you love can't get around the way they used to, and how much the right solution can give back. Not just mobility. Dignity. Presence. The ability to show up.

Most of the people who find us aren't shopping for themselves. They're a son or daughter who watched their parent's world get smaller and decided to do something about it. They're a spouse trying to help a partner stay independent. They're someone who wants to get this decision right, because the person they're buying for deserves that.

We take that seriously.

We're not here to move inventory. We're here to make sure you land on the right chair, the one that actually fits your loved one's life, gets used every day, and gives them back something they thought they'd lost.

That's what Wheelchair Throne means. Not a product. A return to freedom.

Your loved one's throne is waiting. Let's find the right one together.
